    Hi,
    We are facing two problems.

Problem 1: When browser asks permission from user to access location of user and user denies it, then there is no way to permit it again. Whenever user click on the geo-location icon on the top-right corner of location input box on the search page, it shows an alert box saying “User denied the request for Geolocation”.

Problem two: While creating new profiles, the geo-location data is getting saved from some computers and it doesn’t from some other computers, Consequently profiles with no geolocation data are not coming in search results when searched by location, though they are coming when we search same cities as keywords. We are using normal wifi connections.

Please advise on both the issues.

Hello Vipul and I apologize for my delayed reply.

    1)

Problem 1: When browser asks permission from user to access location of user and user denies it, then there is no way to permit it again. Whenever user click on the geo-location icon on the top-right corner of location input box on the search page, it shows an alert box saying “User denied the request for Geolocation”.

That is how the browser geolocator works. Once the user denies the geolocation once, the browser won’t retrieve his current location until the page reloads. there is no way, which I know of, around it.

    2) WP Job Manager Geolocation add-on does a proximity search when searching for locations. That means that it searches for locations based on coordinates. And so, if a job does not have the geolocation data exists in database ( which also includes the coordinates ), it will not show in search results.

    I hope that makes sense.
