I have many taxonomies associated with my posts, however I currently want to hide some until all of the posts have this field entered.

Would be nice to have a check box that allowed me to ‘do not display / do not use taxonomy’ just as there is a ‘do not search’ button choice for Keyword Search Field.

    Hi,

It is possible to do with the premium features ad on.

You can select or deselect which taxonomies to search or not search on a per form basis.

I have used it and it is a good addition.

It also gives some extra features which are very useful.

I think it is listed in the add-ons section of this site.

    I hope that helps.

Thank you for the input @Chris. However, Yumyam already uses the Premium Settings add-on.

@Yumyam, I believe that what you want can be done if by settings the taxonomies to “pre defined”. This will hide the taxonomy in the search form but will still search the taxonomy.

Thanks @simplcsr. @fitoussi thank you—it took some extra reading in that right-hand corner. I suppose using the term ‘pre-defined’ made me assume that any term of that taxomomy was already chosen rather than thinking it meant to ‘exclude’ the taxonomy from the search form.

Sorry about that. I know that there is a lot of work needs to be done on the documentation of the plugins. I am trying to finish the next major update of GEO my WP and line up with all the add-ons. Once I am done Hopefully I will get to start working on the docs.
