    Good day to you all.

    I was wondering if you could help me out. The current solutions online does not seems to work. I am running WordPress 4.2.2. and GEO my WP 2.6.0.2.

    http://tempform.wpengine.com/documentation/post-types-add-on/gmw_pt_update_location/

    I have added this function to the ‘add location’ form and the ‘edit location’ form. This works beautifully. Now I want the location added to each post that is imported using the WP Ultimate CSV Import plugin (http://www.smackcoders.com/wp-ultimate-csv-importer-pro.html). I have formatted my .csv file this way that they are succesfully imported as posts.

    Now I believe I need one step more: the connection between a) saving each imported post and b) calling the gmw_pt_update_location function on that post.

    My thinking was simple, just call the function when the post is imported, but it seems not that simple.

    Anyone can help me finetune the following functions.php action to work the right fuction of the Ultimate importer plugin?

    //update data of new post

    add_action(‘wpuf_add_post_after_insert’, ‘gmw_update_location_via_wpuf’, 10, 1 );

    //update data when post updated

    add_action(‘wpuf_edit_post_after_update’, ‘gmw_update_location_via_wpuf’, 10, 1 );

    Thanks already for your help.

    Hi,
    I am not familiar with the Ultimate importer plugin but most plugin do provide hook after/before updating a post. I advice you to contact the developers of the plugin or maybe look in the plugin’s documentation for the right hook. It shouldn’t be much of a trouble.

    FYI,
    When running a bulk geocoding you can run into OVER_QUERY_LIMIT error.
    Google API allows, I believe, only 2500 queries per day. You also need to make sure that you have a delay of 2 to 3 seconds between each query ( each address geocoding ) to prevent Google API from blocking your IP address. You will need to add a delay of 2 -3 seconds between each imported post.
