    Hi there,

I have over 100 different posts, separated by 2 post categories. I have “Distributors” and I have “Reps”. How do I get a separation given when both come into the geo plugin as if they are the same “type”? Users on the site need a way to see a difference between the two, or pick only one, (or see them in a different way). Does your plugin handle this and if so, can you point me to the documentation so that I can understand how to get some separation to occur?

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi Eric,
I apologize for the delayed replay.

You can either create two Nearby Locations shortcodes/widgets when one displays “Distributors” locations and the other “Reps” locations. You can do that using the include_terms=”” attribute. You need to find the term IDs of each category and pass it into the include_terms=”” attribute.

So if for example the term ID of “Reps” category is 2 then your shortcode will be like:
    [gmw_nearby_locations iten_type=”posts” include_terms=”2″ ……..]

Another way is do use CSS to change the look of the search results based on the category. The wrapper element of each location in the results has its category as a CLASS tag. So you can use that to have a different background color or border color for each location in the results based on its category.

I uploaded a new beta version ( beta 2 ) today which fixes some issue with the include_terms attribute. So if you are going to use that you will need to download the new version from Your Account page.

Let me know if you have any questions.
