I am using a Windows / WEbMatrix / WordPress 3.5.1 setup on a local development box and am evaluating GeoMyWP for a future project.

I have a clean WP install and GeoMyWP 1.7.1 installed

I have activated the Google API, set my Country code to US.

Activated the Post Types add-on and set Post types settings to Posts with mandatory address fields.

I have created my search form shortcode and edited it for Posts

Created a new page and entered the search form shortcode

But despite having multiple posts entered with geocoded addresses near me, the results page returns no results.

The database is showing entries in wp_postmeta for posts with entries showing _wppl_zipcode having values of 32312.

The posted url is below (for reference only of course)

I don’t think I am missing anything.  Does anyone see the problem?

Thank you for the detailed explanation.
The plugin suppose to create the database table wp_places_locator and save the data in it. Is the table exists in your DB? And if so do you see the posts you have created in it?

Thanks for the super fast response.

Nope, wp_places_locator is empty. It is showing none of the three posts data.

    I have the same problem:

I added 1 post-type “Concert” with location: “Amsterdam, The Netherlands”.

It is saved in DB in table “_places_locator”, with the following details:

    – LAT: 52.3702157
    -LONG: 4.895167899999933
    – Adress: Amsterdam NH  NL

    I use the Search widget.
When I don’t enter any value and just hit submit, it shows my post.
But, if I enter “Amsterdam” it yields zero results.

    Any ideas?

    Best regards,

My apology as i missed your latest post. Are you still having the issue?

I saw in your other post that you overcome the issue!?

    @Jonbrist :
Unfortunatly no…I still don’t get any search results…

    Hey Eyal,

No the environment as described never did create any data in the wp_places_locator table. I did dump that environment and created another WP install on a standard LAMP stack. This did work. This would seem to indicate there is an issue with the combination of components installed in the Windows environment. My immediate suspicion lies in the php versions and config (which could possibly be part of the the problem for others if they have little control over their servers configs).

Hope this helps. If you need anything please let me know.
