Just wanna say, you have an amazing plugin here. I definitely appreciate your hard work to make it all possible.
I noticed that with the new SweetDate integration, the address and proximity fields are added to the horizontal search form on the Members page. However, I can’t get those fields to show up when using the main search form in the widget area or on the homepage. Is it supposed to or did you only code it for the horizontal form?
Is there any way to make that happen?
The underlying dilemma is that I want to display the profile fields as selectboxes instead of checkboxes. When I use the Geo Search widget, everything is converted to checkboxes and makes the fields look ugly. When I use the SweetDate Kleo Members Search widget or the BP Profile Search plugin widget, it displays the fields as selectboxes, but I don’t have the geolocation features that the Geo Search widget has.
I noticed that the Geo Search form is built using some of the same codes from BP Profile Search so I figured I could just swap over some of the codes from one plugin to the other. I was sorely mistaken. So far I’ve tried putting the address fields from the geo-my-wp-sd-class file in the SweetDate folder into both the SweetDate Kleo Members Search and the BP Profile Search plugins after it calls the profile fields as well as putting the code that calls the profile fields from both of those plugins into the gmw-fl-search-functions file of the GEOMyWP plugin with no luck on either end.
The best luck I’ve had so far is putting the following code from the search-form.php file in the /plugins/friends/search-forms/yellow folder into BP Profile Search right before the submit button, but instead of displaying the Address, Distance, and Order By fields that show up on the Sweet Date Members page, all it shows is an empty text box followed by a “Get Current Location” link:12345678910111213141516<!-- Address Field --><?php gmw_search_form_address_field( $gmw, $id='', $class='' ); ?><?php do_action( 'gmw_search_form_before_locator', $gmw ); ?><!-- locator icon --><?php gmw_search_form_locator_icon( $gmw, $class='' ); ?><?php do_action( 'gmw_search_form_before_distance', $gmw ); ?><div class="gmw-unit-distance-wrapper"><!--distance values --><?php gmw_search_form_radius_values( $gmw, $class='' ); ?><!--distance units--><?php gmw_search_form_units( $gmw, $class='' ); ?></div><!-- distance unit wrapper -->
Sorry for the long-winded post, but I wanted you to have as much info as possible. I’ve spent all day yesterday and today trying to figure out a solution and haven’t come up with anything. Any suggestions?April 18, 2014 at 12:39 pm #34767Eyal FitoussiMember
Thank you for the feedback.
I am not sure how easy it will be for you to integrate the form. Indeed at the moment it suppose to only work with the horizontal search form in the members page.
It is the initial release of the integration and already there are issues that need to be taken care of.
I will need to dig more into the theme and learn how to integrate it better.
For the moment I am trying to take care of the issues I know of and to make it stable. Then I will keep pushing with more features.
