I am looking to have a widget in my sidebar on the first page which then redirects to a full search (with the results from the widget)… this works absolutely fine until I want to have the “gray” search form template for the widget and “horizontal-gray” for the full search… is there any way to make this work without duplicating the results page?

    Thank you! 🙂

No, this is not possible out of the box.

You need to use 2 different forms, which should not be an issue, or use custom coding to modify the search form template on the results page.

Simply create a duplicate of the current form and set its search form template file to horizontal. Then in the content of the results page place the horizontal search form using the shortcode [gmw search_form=”form ID”] and below it enter the shortcode [gmw form=”results”]. This shortcode will display the results from either the widget or the horizontal form. Whichever is submitted.

    I hope this helps.
