    Hello @scorman,

    This might be an issue with the internal cache of the plugin.

    After duplicating a site, please navigate to the dashboard -> GEO my WP -> Extension, and deactivate/reactivate one of the core extensions of the plugin. Doing so will clear the internal cache of the plugin.

    Hello Burf,

    The “Oops…” error message is related to the Google Maps browser API key. It means that something was not properly set up with the key.

    Please see this tutorial to learn how to properly set up your browser API key.

    Pay attention to step 8 to make sure you restricted the key as “HTTP referrer” and make sure you entered your site’s URL same way as in the docs.

    Also, follow steps 13 to 19 to make sure you enabled all the required API service.

    I am aware of this warning and will try to release a fix ASAP. Until then, you can set WP_DEBUG to false on your site in order to hide the error from the front end.

    How exactly do you update the location? via the Location form in the Edit Post page of the admin? Or do you update it dynamically via a script or another plugin?

    And since you are a license key holder, in the future, instead of using this forum, please use the “Technical Support” form using your license key to submit your questions or issues and I will reply in a timely manner. I often get busy and not always get to check this support forum.

    To display the map of a post you can use the Single Location shortcode.

    To display the latitude and longitude of a post you can use the shortcode:

    When using this shortcode in the content of a post or in a Single Post template file you don’t need to specify the post ID. Otherwise, you can use the shortcode attribute “post_id” to specify a specific post.

    Hello Andy,

    You get this error because your site doesn’t use an SSL certificate.

    All browsers nowadays require a secure page in order to use the geolocation feature. Once you install an SSL certificate on your site, the geolocation feature should then work.
