    Hi Eyal,

I’m still having problems with the map not working on my page – it doesn’t display the map properly in the window, and doesn’t center and zoom on the map pin.

I’ve put a link to a page using the map in the private content section of this post. If you could let me know why this isn’t working, I’d appreciate it.

    Thanks, Rich

    Hi Eyal,

Email address included in the private section of this post. Looking forward to testing it and will be happy to do so.

I hope that the custom query will be able to return a post so that I can display in the template the title, featured image, excerpt etc, but also display the distance from the ‘location’ used for the search too – e.g. ‘9.1 miles’ etc.

Just thinking for other users if it would be useful to have the ability to:

    1) Return posts from the WP Query for displaying into a template file

    2) Displaying a single map showing all the posts in the WP Query?

I only want to display 1 post for what I need at the moment, but for arrays of posts, this may be useful.

I should add that I’d like to use the ‘Nearby Posts’ outside of the Loop, but can pass the shortcode the Lat and Long in the Template File – if the shortcode could accept them as options.

    Hi Eyal,

That’s great news thank you – I have the Lat/Long of the Current Post so can pass this into Nearby Posts as variables if needed.

    Question:

Would it be possible to use ‘Nearby Posts’ to get a nearby posts for a particular Taxonomy?

E.G. on my page I would have the Post, and then underneath I would use Nearby Posts multiple times to list a number of other posts with different Terms:

    1) Nearest ‘Shop’
    2) Nearest ‘Accommodation’
    3) Nearest ‘Food Outlet’

It would be great to use this as a WP Query type-plugin which when used, will list X number of Posts of a specific Post Type with a specific Taxonomy:

    E.G:

    [GMW-Nearby-Posts qty=5 post-type='places' taxonomy='place-type' term='shop']

We could then use the Query Array to output the results in a Loop as we like using our own code and CSS.

Alternatively, If the plugin could output simple ‘Nearest’ Results of a specific Term this would also be great.

See ‘Nearest Airport’ and ‘Nearest Ferry’ on this website:

This is exactly what I need for my current project.

Hi Eyal, I have started a thread on WP-Types Support for this – https://wp-types.com/forums/topic/javascript-jquery-error-conflict-in-wp-admin-dashboard-caused-by-cred/

CRED works fine without Geo My WordPress.

Geo My WordPress works fine without CRED.

My problem is that with CRED enabled with Geo My WordPress, Geo My WordPress and other JQuery functionality in the WP Admin section (Media Lightbox, ‘Screen Options’ pull-down) doesn’t work at all.

Could you please look into this and help me resolve any conflicts?

I believe GMW is including this as well as another plugin I am using – WP-Views. I’ve reported this to them. Could GMW also look into this?

I too am getting this error. I have switched my theme to 2015 and have the error still appear:

    Hi Eyal,

I’ve looked into this – disabling all plugins apart from GMW and enabling them all one-by-one. The issue is only present when I enable the WP-Types ‘CRED’ plugin.

Firebug tells me that I have a javascript error but to me this makes no sense (I do not know JS). I have attached a screenshot to show you.

As mentioned, when I click ‘Locate Me’ – it works fine when CRED is disabled, but does not work at all when CRED is enabled.

Could you please look into this? I need both plugins for my site.

I’ll look into the JavaScript errors tonight. I’ve tried this in FireFox and IE which both have the same problem.

The ‘Auto Locator’ works fine. Will report back my findings…

Hi Eyal, Thanks for getting back to me. I am using a CRED Form (WP Types Plugin) and a hook from submitting the form.

The code for this I found on another post on this forum and on the WP Types Support Forum, but for me, each time I submit the CRED Form, the address does not GeoCode.

I have another post on this forum stating that the ‘Get Lat/Long’ functions also don’t work on my WP Dashboard – which I do not know if this is related or not.

This is all on my localhost web server.
