Also, the group locations are working fine with the global maps on the home page: https://newearthnation.org/ But in conjunction with the kleo geolocation on that groups page, it doesn’t.
They were added through the location tab on the group’s manage screen. The reason you don’t see the location tab, is because I customized it to display the location in the buddypress header instead. For example: https://newearthnation.org/groups/new-earth-norway/
On my local environment I have the code and it works fine. Maybe it’s a conflict with a plugin? Not sure.
I’m having the same sort of issue with my site’s group locations page. The locations are not showing at all, although they are in the database. Here’s the link: https://newearthnation.org/groups/
I have just updated the groups add-on to the latest version, 22.214.171.124, but it still won’t work.
It fixed it, thank you.
This error has to do with the Kleo Notification ajax requests. In your ajax js, you should be checking to make sure that settings.data != ‘undefined’. This would solve these errors.
Awesome! Thank you so much! The new version looks great. There’s one bug that I see in my console though related to the ajax requests: Cannot read property ‘indexOf’ of undefined. Everything else works. 🙂
There’s also a bug with the toggling of the submit button/loader. Currently, it’s toggling the element on every ajax start/stop, which also includes any other ajax requests being carried out on the page. Kleo in particular has a buddypress notifications listener, which triggers the toggling of this button. It would probably be better to use ajaxSend/ajaxComplete methods and check for the event type to specifically target the group/member forms.
I understand. Thank you.
Great, thank you.
Going back to the original question, I noticed that when I changed the slug definition in gmw-gl-component-extension.php, line 26, I am no longer able to save a group’s location in the front end. Must also be a bug.
Actually, it appears to be a bug in my local environment, so I will figure it out. It works on the development server. 🙂
Just discovered that if I place the custom template in mythemefolder/geo-my-wp/groups/search-forms/ it works, but then the template option is missing in the back-end. So I have to have it in both locations for it to work. I think this is a code bug with global maps. It’s the same bug with posts global maps also. I would appreciate it if you could look into it.
Thanks Eyal. I already know which file and I will add a temporary filter for it there. 🙂
Another question, if you don’t mind. It seems that if I create a global groups map, the custom template files do not work. For example, I have place a custom search form in: mythemefolder/geo-my-wp/global-maps/groups/search-forms/ and selected it in the form options in the back-end, but when I look at the map on the front-end, the search form is missing.
Yes, got it now. Thank you!
